Old Man Window Panel
The Great Stoneface, Old Man, or the Profile, is an iconic image in New Hampshire. The profile was first mentioned by white men surveying the area in 1805, and became famous from a poem by NH's Daniel Webster. It has been the state emblem since 1945, in spite of having collapsed in 2003. This is just one rendering of several of the Old Man I have made, this one from 2018 shows the four seasons represented by the colors of the opalescent glass on each side. The glass the image of the Old Man is sand blasted on is a wavy glass, representing the high winds that flow through Franconia Notch.
